How to Install a Bag Filter

A bag filter is an energy-efficient and effective water filtration device commonly used in water treatment.

The device mainly consists of a filter housing, filter cover, quick-opening mechanism, and a stainless steel reinforced mesh for the filter bag. The liquid enters the filter through the side inlet pipe of the housing, flows into the filter bag, which is placed inside the reinforced basket. The liquid passes through the filter bag of the required fineness, producing filtered liquid, while impurities are retained in the filter bag.

Bag filters can withstand higher working pressures, resulting in lower pressure loss, reduced operating costs, and significant energy savings.
The filtration accuracy of bag filters has continuously improved, reaching as fine as 0.5µm.

Due to the working principle and structure of the bag filter system, filter bag replacement is fast and easy, with no need to clean the filter housing, saving both labor and time.
Filter bags can be reused after cleaning, reducing costs.
Bag filters have a wide range of applications, are highly versatile, and support various installation methods.

Operating Procedure:

To operate, simply install the filter bag of the required fineness into the filter housing, check if the O-ring is intact, and then tighten the housing cover using the circular bolts to begin operation.

After starting the pump, the pressure gauge on the filter will slightly increase, with the initial pressure around 0.05MPa. As the filter is used, more residue will accumulate inside. When the pressure reaches 0.4MPa, stop the machine, open the cover, and check the residue in the filter bag. The bag can be replaced and reused (filter bags can generally be reused after cleaning).

Additionally, it’s recommended to adjust the filtration pressure between 0.1-0.3MPa, which can be done using the return pipe or the return valve on the pump. Excessive filtration pressure may damage the filter bag and the protective mesh, so extra caution is required.
