How Does Duplex Filter Work
Duplex Filter, also known as a Duplex Switching Filter, consists of two stainless steel bag filters connected either in parallel or in series. The two filters can be used alternately or operate simultaneously.
-
A vent valve is installed at the top to release air during operation.
The duplex filter, also referred to as a parallel switching filter, employs two three-way ball valves to assemble two single-cylinder filters on a common base. This design allows cleaning of the filters without stopping operation, ensuring continuous work. -
Capable of filtering out particles larger than 1 micron.
The filtering elements can include stainless steel filter cartridges or high-quality honeycomb degreased fiber cotton. The filter can also operate as a single-cylinder unit by removing the common base, while all other dimensions remain unchanged. -
The filter housing contains a stainless steel support basket.
Three adjustable support legs allow the filter to be stably placed on the ground. The inlet and outlet pipelines are connected using clamp connections, with a three-way ball valve controlling the flow. This design ensures pressure and temperature resistance, flexible operation, no leakage of liquid, and enhanced hygiene.
Working Principle
The suspension is pumped into each sealed filter chamber. Under working pressure, the liquid exits through the outlet, while the filter residue remains in the chamber to form a filter cake, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation.
The filtrate flows into the filter bag through the side inlet pipe of the filter housing. The filter bag, supported within a reinforced basket, allows liquid to pass through the filter bag at the required fineness level, producing qualified filtrate. Impurity particles are intercepted by the filter bag.
