How To Prepare Before Operating Bag Filter
Pipeline and Valve Inspection
-
Close all valves: Ensure that the bag filter inlet valve, outlet valve, drain valve, and exhaust valve are all in the closed position. Check that pipeline connections (such as flanges and quick couplings) are secure, without looseness or corrosion.
-
Pipeline clearance: If the system has been idle for a long period, flush the pipelines with clean water to remove residual impurities or solidified substances inside, preventing filter bag blockage.
Material Confirmation
-
Confirm the properties of the material to be filtered (viscosity, temperature, corrosiveness):
-
For high-temperature fluids (>100℃), select heat-resistant filter bags (e.g., PTFE bags, resistant up to 260℃).
-
For highly corrosive fluids (such as acids or alkalis), select fluororubber sealing rings with PP filter bags.
-
-
Material pre-treatment: If the material contains large particles (>1mm), coarse filtration (e.g., basket strainer) should be performed first to prevent immediate clogging of the filter bag.
