How to calculate the filtration area of the Single Bag Filter Housing

The Single Bag Filter is a widely used industrial filtration device known for its stability in water quality, high water production, low turbidity, long lifespan, and high efficiency. In industrial applications, this equipment is considered an ideal filtration product.

Single Bag Filter Housing

The filter bag in a Single Bag Filter is a common filtration material with varying precision. It has a wide applicability due to different materials, including non-woven fabric, polyester fiber, and nylon. These materials are lightweight, have a high filtration capacity, and are suitable for liquid filtration, widely used in industrial water and product filtration.

The materials of the Single Bag Filter include carbon steel, SS304, SS316L stainless steel, PP, plastic steel, carbon steel with PTFE coating, stainless steel with PTFE coating, or custom materials based on your requirements. The theoretical flow rate is 10-960T/H, and the filter bag precision ranges from 0.5-200μm.

The filtration area of a Single Bag Filter is determined by the square length * width of the unfolded filter bag. For example, if a certain model of Single Bag Filter has a filter bag with dimensions of 180820mm, the filtration area is approximately 0.46m2 (1803.14*820).

The selection of the filtration area depends on the nature of the filtered material, temperature, viscosity, flow rate, pressure, etc. For instance, for edible oil (peanut oil) with a viscosity of 50-100mPa.s at room temperature, and a filtration precision of 1-5μm (depending on the specific case), the flow rate should be 3-5 times higher than that of water.

When selecting a bag filter, considering edible oil as an example, the flow rate should be 3-5 times higher than the water flow rate (depending on the specific case) to achieve the desired filtration speed for edible oil.
